Cedric Benson, a Beast this weekend?

Cedric Benson is starting develop into the player that the Chicago Bears thought they were getting after selecting him with the 4th overall pick in the 2005 draft.  After having a very disappointing career in the windy city, Cedric Benson is starting to blossom with the Cincinnati Bengals.  Benson is a must-start in all fantasy formats this weekend.  The Browns have looked like one of the worst teams in the NFL this season.  Are the Browns the 09-10 version of last years Lions?  We won’t start making bold predictions about the Browns going 0-16, but you get the point, they are awful. The Browns are allowing 184.3 yards a game rushing, which is ranked 30th in the league. Benson has rushed for 293 yards this season, which is good for 97.7 yards per game.  He will get plenty of touches this week, and could be a top fantasy performer, if you are lucky enough to have him, start him.

  1. Carson Palmer vs @Cleveland
    Matt Schaub vs Oakland

Who would you start? The Bengals could be pounding it with Benson, as McGahee and Rice had huge success. But, Palmers career game was against the Browns a couple years ago and now this years version of the Browns is worse it seems.

Matt Schaub is playing oakland who has agreat cb in Nmandi but Houstons run game has really struggled. If they continue to struggle that could mean airing it out to Kevin Walter and Owen Daniels (I'm assuming Nmandi will shut down Andre Johnson)

    Thanks for the help

  2. Start Carson Palmer, he is a better quarterback than Schaub and we feel he has better targets to throw to. With Ochocinco, Coles, and Henry as the top three WRs in Cincy, CLE will have a very tough time shutting them down. As for Schaub he could have a good week, having Andre Johnson as a main target, but Asomugah is arguably the best corner back in the league. Owen Daniels is probably the main threat through the air fantasy wise in Houston. Start Palmer unless you think Johnson will be able to get open. Keep in mind Asomugah only allowed 8 receptions on 27 attempts his way all year last season.

  3. This is an interesting question but one more thing I want to say. Some professional analysts at yahoo think Schaub is a solid start this week due to his ability to find open targets when Andre Johnson is being double covered. Have they read into Asomugah's resume? Nothing I have read on yahoo has even brought up his name. So if Schaub can find the open targets when Johnson is being double covered, what happens when Johnson can't get opened with single coverage? And say Walter is the one being double covered? Just some things to look at, not saying Schaub is a terrible start but you know..
